The Dave Bennett Quartet

Dave Bennett "is an authentic musical prodigy who brings life to the classic sound and music of Benny Goodman with incredible technique, style, beauty of tone and naturalness." Dave's band was this year's winner of the BIG3 Battle of the Bands against the Boilermaker Jazz Band, so his music is certain to keep you dancing all evening long! Dave was born and still lives in Michigan in the metro Detroit area. Anyone who has not heard Dave Bennett will be impressed with this local Michigan swing talent!

Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings (P.O.R.K.)

Phil Ogilvie's Rhythm Kings (P.O.R.K.) was formed over 8 years ago and has become one of the premiere, early jazz bands around southeast Michigan. Individually, each member of the band is a highly gifted jazz soloist, but collectively they collaborate to create a "tight" and vibrant group. P.O.R.K. has been recognized for their talent being featured in local and regional press, and their popularity in the dance community got them an invitation to be a headlining band for this year's DC Lindy Exchange. Led with the musical direction by James Dapogny, a Grammy-nominated pianist, P.O.R.K. performs almost every Sunday at the Firefly Club in Ann Arbor. An exchange in Ann Arbor would not be complete without dancing to this local music treat!
