House Me

KissME in Ann Arbor has made various preparations to house everyone during the exchange. We have a number of local dancers who are hosting, but because we expect our local housing to fill up fast, we have also arranged to offer dorm rooms through the University of Michigan .

Hosted Housing

If you would like to have housing, we'll make every effort to accommodate as many visiting dancers as we can. We are matching hosts and visitors on a first paid, first housed basis. Once you have paid for KissME, you are next on the list to be housed with local dancers and community members.

Please note that local housing registration ends on the 15th of June.

Dorms

With limited hotel availability during the art fair weekend, we have arranged to have dorm rooms available through the University of Michigan Housing. The rates are:

Single Room: $42.50 per night.

Double Room: $28.50 per bed, per night ($57 per night for the room)

Baits is located on University of Michigan's North Campus. The building is air conditioned and the rooms include linen, pillows, and towels. Two rooms share a bathroom, so if you have a specific neighbor or roommates in mind, please write them in the comments section of your registration. We are also providing parking passes for the dorms; indicate on the registration form if you will need one.

Note that our agreement with the University states that each person staying in the dorm must have a bed for themselves. We would like to maintain good standing with the University Housing, so please respect this policy.

Please register by July 3 if you would like to stay in the dorms.

Hotels

Since our event coincides with the Ann Arbor Art Fair, hotels will likely fill up for the weekend. Some available hotels can found by searching with Trip Advisor.

Local Dancers: Hosting

We need your help! Local dancers traditionally host visiting dancers coming to their exchange. This keeps the overall costs down for out-of-town dancers and also means you have a free place to stay when you travel to other exchanges. So, please host if you have room for dancers to sleep (think: beds, couches, futons, air mattresses, floors, etc).

Hosting dancers is simple: provide them space to sleep and a place to shower. When you register, indicate how many people you are able to host and answer the other related questions so we can properly match hosts and visitors.

If you are not planning to attend the entire event, but can still offer space to visiting dancers, you are encourage to be a host! Please e-mail the Housing Coordinator at housing@kissmeinannarbor.com if you can help in this way.
